The cheapest place to fix a bicycle order is the brief, before the deposit. These 10 questions close the gaps that otherwise show up at the port. They pair with our factory-finding guide - that one is about vetting, this one is about ordering.
Commercial terms
- MOQ: confirm one 20-ft container (about 100 bikes) and whether colorways mix.
- Unit price: FOB or CIF, and what the price includes (components, packaging).
- Lead time: from deposit to ex-works, plus the incoterm and port.
- Tooling: for ODM, who owns the mold and what it costs.
Product and quality
- Standard: confirm build to ISO 4210 for the models you ship.
- Quality system: ISO 9001 and the inspection stages.
- Sample sign-off: the approved sample is the benchmark for mass production.
- Third-party inspection: SGS, TUV, BV or an inspector you name.
Paperwork
- Documentation: CE/RoHS support, test reports, Declaration of Conformity.
- After-sales: spare parts policy and warranty terms.
Turn the list into a brief: Request a quote and we return a written answer to every line above.
