Frame size is the difference between a bike that fits and one that fights you. This guide gives the charts; for the full measurement method see our Size & Fit Guide.
Size by rider height (trail hardtail)
| Rider height | Frame size | Wheel |
|---|---|---|
| 150-160 cm | XS | 24" |
| 160-170 cm | S | 26" |
| 168-178 cm | M | 26" / 27.5" |
| 175-185 cm | L | 27.5" |
| 185+ cm | XL | 27.5" |
The standover rule
Whatever the chart says, confirm 2-5 cm of clearance over the top tube. For dirt-jump bikes you want more room to move, so size for clearance first.
How brands choose a size run
For a first container, cover S through L (the bulk of adult riders) and let the wheel size follow the market - 27.5 inch for trail and youth, 26 inch for jump and smaller riders. MEIRX builds the TJ985 and Candy across these sizes and customizes geometry per OEM or ODM project. Ask us about your region.
